(50,414 posts)As for me, I don't vote based on polls, age, gender, or brand of underwear.
Buns_of_Fire
(17,175 posts)Or, perhaps more accurately, STYLE of underwear.
Remember, the answer to "Boxers or Briefs?" won the election for Bill Clinton.
Some have postulated that both President Cheney AND Assistant-President Shit-fer-Brains had binding underwear, and we know where THAT combination got us.
And, of course, LBJ was very protective of his bunghole, which led us into Vietnam.
I admit, I'm not sure how this could be tactfully broached with today's candidates. God Forbid any of them would say "I go commando." The nation isn't ready for that.

(37,364 posts)DUPis not representative of any population other than those who frequent it and this poll is a convenience sample of that group at best.

(11,175 posts)but couldn't DU pollsters at least spell his name right?
I have a favorable opinion of Chafee, but I picked Undecided in this poll because I like both O'Malley and Sanders. For the left to unite behind Sanders might present the best chance to stop Clinton, but O'Malley might be the stronger candidate in the general election.

(3,747 posts)He doesn't have me convinced that he will be able to begin pulling together a leftist (not liberal) coalition.
Worse, I'm not yet convinced he won't make that significantly harder.
Worst, I keep fluctuating on how I feel.
Worstest? My mind shows no sign of being made up soon.
For me, it'll come down to: will he hurt the viability of a socialist movement like he has for years and years in Vermont? Or will he be able to move past that and give us, if not a voice, a platform to stand and speak upon?

(58,355 posts)Considering the fact that either could lose, going with the person of the people whoever that is, would at least give one the comfort of knowing they fought for their convictions and highest ideals.

And spare me the bogus stats on the number of people in a group or of the number of posts in a group for they are meaningless.

(135,425 posts)Of course, they tend to "lead the way" to candidates that do not go the distance.
