The pharmaceutical company boss under fire from Hillary Clinton and many others for jacking up the price of the drug Daraprim 5,000 percent overnight said Tuesday he will lower the cost of the life-saving drug.




"Yes it is absolutely a reaction — there were mistakes made with respect to helping people understand why we took this action, I think that it makes sense to lower the price in response to the anger that was felt by people," Shkreli said, 32.

Shkreli said the price would be lowered to allow the company to break even or make a smaller profit.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was among those who expressed outrage over the price increase. On Tuesday she outlined a plan she said would limit how much patients have to pay out of pocket for medications each month.

events and voting for Bernie on election day. I already don't watch the news because it is total crap. I think I'm about done listening to the Hillary crap. I had taken a 4 month break from DU after my husband's heart attack. I only came back because I had heard that Bernie was doing so well and wondered what DUers might be saying about Bernie. I think I've been back for a maybe a week. There is no way I'm going to make it through this crap any longer. I will continue to donate to Bernie, go to Bernie events, and vote for Bernie, but I am done already. I can't handle the total crap on this message board. Sanders put forth legislation in the beginning of September and has spoken out about this guy as well as the entire drug price situation for weeks on social and mainstream media.

For almost a week now, there has been a large social media campaign against Shkreli to the point that he is considered one of the most 'hated' men in the world.

Since at least January of this year, Shrkeli has been under investigation by the US AG in Eastern NY with charges forthcoming.

Then finally towards the end of all of this Clinton makes a Tweet about it.

Y'all actually expect us to believe, just because her own campaign legal advisor says it is so, that she is the one who made this guy change the price after all that has been done by others?

No wonder y'all don't have a problem with her lies like the Bosnian sniper incident. Y'all will accept whatever lies her or her campaign tell.

Hillary Clinton did not change this man's mind.

She was one of the last candidates to even speak on this. While she got around to making a Tweet(!), Sanders was already pushing legislation to change this kind of price gouging permanently.

Of course Ann M. O'Leary is going to Tweet that Clinton did this. She is one of Clinton's senior political advisors on her 2016 campaign team!
