2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumFL, OH and PA Voters think Obama cares about them and Romney doesn't.
This is why Obama is going to win decisively in EV and probably in pop vote as well.Romney cannot win without OH or FL and he is getting killed on this in Ohio and losing on it by a solid margin in FL.
Likely voters:
Does (the presidential candidate) care or not care about the needs
and problems of people like you?
Obama Does/Does Not
FL 55 42
OH 55 43
PA 58 39
Romney
FL 42 49
OH 38 55
PA 39 54

(53,061 posts)What pops out immediately is the high percentage of self-described Republicans who say they will vote for Barack Obama over Mitt Romney. An outlier? Perhaps. But we went back into the field last night to test it again. The results: almost identical. Hmmm. We going to keep an eye on that.

(35,703 posts)I suspect it is union households. The commercials about Bain/income tax returns/offshore accounts, etc. are likely cutting into Romney's support among Republican union households.
At least In Ohio some working class people who vote Republican and could be classified as Moderate Republicans are really turned off
by what they are hearing on Romney and are thinking we would be better off with Obama. At least he doesn't profit when people like
off are laid off and planets and our jobs are shipped overseas unlike romney.Hell Romney Is one of those who ships jobs overseas.

(60,010 posts)Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Iowa, Nevada, North Carolina and Colorado,
only Colorado's governor is a Dem.( and he is looking at 2016 run for Pres.)
Important to keep a close eye on those states.
Those seemingly long ago races for Governors of swing states were pretty crucial.
A fact that most likely was in Rove's head.

(737 posts)how a state can be ONE color and it's governor be ANOTHER color. I live in Michigan which is a BLUE and we have a Republican governor. I used to live in Tennessee which is SOLID RED and for a "long time" they've had a Democratic governor!!!
Aint nothin' like POLITICS!!!
