Polls show Romney surging ahead of Gingrich in Florida

HIALEAH, Florida (Reuters) - Republican Newt Gingrich struggled to halt surging rival Mitt Romney's momentum on Sunday, accusing him of launching false attacks as polls showed Romney widening his lead two days before Florida's presidential primary.

Romney, who has battered Gingrich in a flood of television ads and two debates in Florida last week, opened a double-digit lead over the former House of Representatives speaker in four polls released on Sunday.

(snip)

A Reuters/Ipsos poll on Sunday showed Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, holding a 12 percentage point advantage over Gingrich in Florida. Three other polls on Sunday put Romney's lead in Florida at between 11 and 15 points.

"It's clear that Romney has run a much more focused and effective campaign in Florida than Newt," Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak said. "Newt is playing defense every single day in every way."

Total bull on the media's part to be saying Romney is anything more than the winner of 1/3 of the primary states so far. 1/3 is a heck of a long way from 1/2.

6. Exactly right! Look, the Corporate Media kept that shit going in 2008

with Obama and Hillary when they knew that it was over. They continued to raise the bar: "Why can't Obama close the deal with women, with gays, with Jews, with Hispanics, with 'hard-working white people,' or insert group here _______?"

The Corporate Media crowned Mitt Romney last year because that's who they want as the nominee. They will continue to ram Mittens down our collective throat until we give in. It's up to us to make them choke on it!!

Because Romoney is on it today, with that smarmy smile and his ken-doll hair.

Certainly Ken was innocuous, well at least when compared to Mitt. I mean Ken's plastic hair and Mitt's coif are similar, non-moving and styled.

Staying in the "race".
Who is he kidding?
Nobody!

Santorum wants to be the VP so bad that he would go wash Romney's nuts with his tongue on pay-for-view tv if he had to in order to be chosen by Mitt!!

Recent polls show Santorum voters are split on whom they will support if he drops.

That's what worked for Gingrich in South Carolina. Now it's working for Romney in Florida. When we get to the post-convention period, imagine how nasty the ads will be.
