The repugs must be desperate to get the crazies to turn out. That can be the only reason to add this guy to the ticket.

(1,374 posts)because the electoral college map looks very bad for Rmoney.
The polls are actually worse for Romney this year than they were for McCain at this time in '08.
I doubt that he'll choose Ryan, but I can see how they might think they need a "game-changer" at this point and he would bring a lot of attention just because he's young and brash. It would be kind of a big leap while also being a safe move so it might be more of a possiblity than you'd think. Conservatives are pushing for Ryan hard.
I really hope this is the VP because then we can hang the Ryan budget and privatization of Medicare around their necks like an albatross. IMHO it would mean the end of Romney's chances to win in November.

(14,583 posts)He LOOKS the part.
The Rs are so mindlessly superficial, they can't get past the looks factor.
He won't be Romney bad, but once he would have to move beyond the cookie cutter republican cut taxes and spending scam, he would be exposed for the intellectual lightweight he is.
Saw an interview with him on Mathews, I think it was. Mathews or whoever it was tried to pin him down and tried to have him explain what he would do with the budget/economy beyond cutting taxes.
Ryan babbled for two minutes about cutting taxes.
