But I do care about the congressional races, the state races, the governor's races, and the state legislature races.

because those are the races that will determine our destiny in the next decade.

Those are the races that matter, and while were fret about who's going to be president, the races that determine our future are proceeding un-noticed.

Much more important! Sadly, it's much more the race for Miss America in the White House. 😥However, it does determine who will be the judges. 😪

I find the presidential races entertaining.

But the Congressional, state, governors and state legislature races will determine our destiny.

or Gore had been in the White House in 2001-09?

It wouldn't have mattered whether Reagan or Carter had won in 1980?

It wouldn't have mattered whether Nixon or Bobby Kennedy had won in 1968?

Or whether FDR or Hoover had won in 1932?

and the republicans had a majority in the house and super majority in the senate?

And under those circumstances would it have mattered if Carter had won in 1980?

Etc. etc,. etc...

It is utterly absurd to speculate about what would have happened if one specific thing happened differently but everything else happened exactly the same. It doesn't work that way.

that is, if the election hadn't been stolen from him, there wouldn't have been two Texas oilmen in the top two positions making up lies to attack an oil-rich country.

If Carter had won in 1980, he wouldn't have straddled us with the lasting specter of voodoo economics, even if he had lost the Senate (the House remained ostensibly Democratic, even with Reagan's landslide), and he would have kept us on the path to alternative energy development.

If Kennedy had won in 1968, we would have been out of Vietnam that much sooner.

If Hoover had won in 1932, we wouldn't have had the New Deal.

And I do fear that many Dems might sit out the election unless they have the perfect candidate. I guess my answer to them would be ... Scalia? Thomas? Etc.

I will also for Democrats for offices down ballot.

Should a Democrat running for public office be so vile or corrupt or stupid that I can not in good conscience vote for him/her, I will leave that office blank on my ballot.
