Charlie Pierce weighs in on the debate

"So, it appears that Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Brainiac national chairman of the Democratic Party, already is halfway to rendering Tuesday night's first Democratic presidential debate as joyless as it is within her power to do so, and that power is considerable indeed. All year, she and the DNC have been taking fire for limiting the number of primary-season debates, and for threatening any candidates or institutions that might think about holding an independent forum. Now, she's gotten crossways with one of her vice-chairpersons, and the first Samoan ever elected to the Congress. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard got loud about the sparse debate schedule and, in response, Gabbard was told that her presence in Las Vegas was not required."

She is as useless as any member of the Palin family. A complete waste of oxygen.

He didn't perform that well tonight either. He's better with large crowds his campaign puts together using social media where he doesn't have to interact with people and he gives the same speech with the same catch phrases over and over. He's probably practiced it for years and years.
