2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHe's such a smug, self-satisfied, little SNOT.
Paul Ryan, of course.
Mitt is a smug, self-satisfied SNAKE.
The Snake and the Snot. What a pair.

(4,167 posts)Like other VP choices in the past Ryan will also run for reelection i.e. Lieberman and Biden. But I think the Dems should actually make him work for it. Lieberman and Biden were shoe-ins to win reelection running statewide in solid blue states. Ryan's district went for Obama in 2008 and has a Cook PVI of only R+1 making it a swing district. The only reason why Ryan always wins my a large margin is because he has represented it forever. The Dem candidate should go hard on him. That way Ryan would have to debate him and spend precious time campaigning there taking away the time he has to criss cross around the US as the VP canidate.

(24,689 posts)He looks and sounds like a political science college student.
He's also boring and uninspiring. Poor choice for VP. Not a game changer.

(19,458 posts)Nothing I've seen of him so far has any soul at all... and I don't mean being able to sing Al Green. I mean human soul.
He reminds me of the snotty fucks that man those LaRouche tables in front of the post office. You know, the ones with the Hitler mustache on the President, and Bush before that? Same personality, or lack thereof.
Ryan seems to be caught in this weird loop in his life... "let me show this power point.." over and over... But he has NEVER addressed what is "brilliance" really means to HUMANS. What are his qualifications? What does he know of seniors, and single parents, and kids in Head STart? His budget is apparently not only cruel, but also extremely low quality and a "fraud" as Krugman put it.
No soul... just like Romney.

(4,167 posts)As Republicans claim. Then what does that say about Ryan who has been in congress since he was 28.

(18,402 posts)There's something very high school, or at most collegiate, about him to me.
I can't wait to see Romney/Ryan engage in debates beyond economics: let's throw some foreign policy and social issues at them. They'll cry.
