Related: About this forumFuming Bernie Supporters: Why Is CNN Deleting Our Comments?
Seeing their comments repeatedly deleted by CNN, Bernie Sanders supporters are hopping mad today.
Already feeling the news networks coverage had become rabidly pro-Hillary in the aftermath of last nights debate, Facebook users leaving reactions on CNNs page are now continually re-posting them, knowing they will be quickly removed. There are hundreds in a seeming battle with the network, with no explanation as to why.
Some users and messages appear to be specifically targeted, especially those accusing CNN of having conflicts of interest that make it naturally inclined to back Hillary.
In particular, theyre citing last nights initial Facebook poll data showing Bernie had won the debate handily. They are claiming the network is now burying that information in todays coverage.
That clip from last nights post-debate show is still on YouTube, uploaded to a GOP channel. Some Sanders backers are linking to this:

(12,655 posts)poll or no poll, if you're going to have a place for people to put comments, and you only remove comments that have a certain point of view, then that's really screwing with people's free speech and they shouldn't have a comment section at all. This wasn't about a poll, this is about censorship.
Uncle Joe
(58,424 posts)of featuring the peoples' poll on Facebook by continuously referring to them as "kids" I can't help but wonder if Hillary had come out on top whether their adjectives would've been the same?
I highly doubt it.

So, yes, the comments were deleted because people couldn't find them the way they find every other post they've ever posted.

(5,082 posts)They just want power. Time-Warner is Hillarys biggest long time contributor and owns CNN. The debate was sponsored by guess who...Lockheed Martin and the NYSE. Wow. Really? Those that bomb families abroad and our economy at home? It's time to move the center back to the center and away from the right where the Clintons moved it. ALL polls show Bernie won handily but the liars are saying Hillary did anyway. Talk about turning voters off. Hillary will ruin turnout and possibly hand a victory to republicans. She's the new Ralph Nadar.

(16,979 posts)I saw it live when they were spamming the disagree vote before Hillary even spoke. Sanders face just showed on the screen, and the agree vote went crazy, so it's obvious it was completely spammed from BS supporters.
CNN obviously saw internally how bad it really was and said no more. They knew they got punked by some internet trolls and they restored sanity and their credibility. Good for them.

(11,366 posts)Many people weren't trolling. They were just expressing their support for Sanders.
Is that not allowed?

(16,979 posts)It was pretty obvious. I'm sure CNN saw it internally and it's good they stopped the trolls.

(62,325 posts)support, NOT, as Sanders very graciously pointed out, because of the Right's pursuit of her email/Bengazi issues. She is losing support because of her terrible record on the ISSUES.
Sick to death of the distortions and smears and nasty implications coming from Hillary's supporters. We don't have Corporate Funded Super Pacs smearing other candidates.
We don't have money to spend on negative campaigning.
If a majority of viewers take advantage of a poll put up by CNN to vote for who they believe WON THE DEBATE, then that is the way it is.
As if we needed that poll to demonstrate the success of Sanders' campaign.
Alsways with the excuses, the blaming of everyone else. She is just not a good candidate, period. She wasn't in 2008 and she still isn't.
R B Garr
(16,979 posts)I saw it happening live, and apparently CNN saw enough shenanigans to put an end to it.
