2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAny DUers who supported Dean in 2004 and then refused to vote for Kerry in the general,
because of his vote for the IWR?
Just wondering how often people actually follow through with this kind of threat.

(5,213 posts)Lefties always turn out to vote. Problem is, you need a candidate that gets the mushy middle excited enough to get off the couch and go down to the polling station.

A very different time from 2015.

How does that escape Hillary's supporters?
Just another whiny boo hoo bullshit thread Hill's supporters have been posting for months. Very transparent.

(34,109 posts)Oh yes, nothing. You don't know who is telling you the truth and who is not because? BECAUSE our votes are none of your business. Sure, some will tell you but most will not because they see this for what it is. It is snotty snarking from people wanting to make their position seem better than lots of us see it. If you are good with it then that is your business.
Who you vote for is your business. If you can swallow that she is partly responsible for the shit storm that part of the world is in then you can stomach it. Why even bother telling people? Do you really think those of us who were against it then and have not ever been convinced it was a good moral or intellectual or responsible choice will change our minds just because you have or because other people did it too? Most did it or we would not be in this position. Many of us would like them to feel accountable for it not excused for it.
I am so very sick and tired of people trying to justify what Hillary or Kerry or any of the rest of them did just so they can make it look like their candidate is better or not responsible or less responsible or whatever the hell you are trying to prove.
BTW, I don't recall Howard Dean having a vote on the IRW. I don't care what he might have said about it, if he was not in a position to do anything about it then this is weak sauce.
