Expect in the next two weeks for Romney to take the lead from Obama...

It happens especially when you roll out a vice-president and have a convention. Then it evens out when Obama will have his convention.

From an article today showing Romney taking a two-point lead in today's Gallup tracking poll...

If history holds true, expect this trend to continue for the next few cycles of polling. Nine days after John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008, he turned an 8-point deficit into a 5-point advantage.

4. I think the size of the bounce will be more telling than the fact it happens.

And if it were a tree in the forest, I'd expect it's going to look a lot more like a Dwarf Alberta Spruce than a Giant Sequoia.

Announcing your VP and then the convention are both times when polling goes up.

Them comes the Dem convention and we move up again.

Edit to add: I'm not sure Ryan is going to give as nice a bump as Pailin did. There's too much fuel already against him. Still, he should give some sort of positive bump.

6. Yep. Fortunately the Dem convention happens right afterwards so we should get our own bump

and the convention will give a small bump. Except for with the Tea Party, Ryan isn't popular. Quickly after their convention, we have ours. Also, I don't worry much about the Gallup tracking poll. While other polls have had Obama with solid leads, Gallup hardly ever does. It is not much better than Rasmussen.

But then again, even with the temporary energization of the GOP base, it isn't likely he'll be as fortunate as McCain was.

After convention Romney should come closer,or tie or take small lead In some non Gallup and RAS polls.

Obama after his convention should turn It around.

My advice let's laregly Ignore RAS and Gallup. Now come October they may adjust to avoid being called wrong.
