(81,859 posts)O'Malley has the credentials of a presidential candidate and the appearance of a movie president. But he is not connecting at all. I thought he was robotic at the debate. The problem for him is he seems to have no natural base. I know it's unpopular to say, but it might be time to pack it in. Bob Graham quit with more support in 2004. Some republicans have quit with more support this time around.
He might be hoping to stay in to get a shot at VP. But I'm not sure he's a good fit. He doesn't really bring a state and he doesn't have a base.

He is mashed potatoes without gravy.
I would rank Webb above O'Malley too.
