Whistling through my nose or valid questions?

I posted these to a Repub. friend on FB today. Inquiring minds want to know.

&quot 1)If Medicare were to change as per GOP ideology, will the govt. stop collecting all or part of the payroll taxes which are now taken in for guaranteed healthcare coverage, aka Medicare? (2) When do the repubs say such a change would likely take effect? (3) How will the govt. continue to fully fund guaranteed healthcare via Medicare for those who are 55 and older now should payroll taxes be reduced and in view of the fact that there would no longer be new persons added to the rolls ? (4) Would Healthcare vouchers be restricted to insurance purchases only (government controlled) or could they be redeemed as cash (free enterprise)? (5) If redeemed as cash, what would prevent people from spending it on something other than insurance? (6) Would the voucher amount be tied to inflation and/or actual cost of living increases as in rising medical costs? I haven't been able to find answers to these questions anywhere and thought maybe you'd know. Or some of your friends."

I won't hold my breath while waiting for his response.
