Biden IS running, says lawmaker

Add this one to the speculation frenzy. Should be a fun 48 hours...

Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) on Monday said he has been told by an unidentified source that Vice President Biden is running for president.

"I have a very good source close to Joe that tells me VP Biden will run for Prez," Boyle, a freshman lawmaker, tweeted shortly before noon on Monday.

Shortly before that tweet, Boyle sent another reminding followers that Bill Clinton launched his 1992 White House bid in October of that year.

Anticipation for Biden's decision has reached a fever pitch, with Democrats anxious to know his plans in the wake of the first Democratic debate last week.

Reports indicate an announcement from Biden could come soon. The vice president has been wrestling with the decision for months.

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), a top supporter of Biden, said earlier Monday that Biden is expected to decide about entering the race soon.

Until NON-candidate Biden himself steps in front of the cameras, and says "I'm running", I couldn't care less what unidentified sources say,

This is just another piece of fluff faux-news, much ado about nothing.

3. I don't think a house rep would lie.

It probably is coming from a close source- especially considering the Rep in question is from Pennsylvania, the question is whether or not the source is very in the know and gave accurate info. Ultimately it is the VP's choice and he can change it at any moment.

I like Joe and he has certainly earned the right to properly evaluate his decision, but really..... Enough already!

I don't know thousands of people.

I don't have hundreds of close friends.

I do not know a single person who wants Joe to run,

or a single person who would vote for Joe if he did.

regarding Clinton and October.

No offense to Paul Tsongas and Jerry Brown (both of whom I really like) but they were Clinton's main competition that year.

First of all, no one alive is competition for Clinton in politics, but Tsongas and Brown certainly have no chance against him. We didn't know that then but we know that now.

If you are going to declare in October and win, you need to be that much more impressive than your competition.

Fed up with the whole thing...he should have been ages ago if he wanted to run, well before his son was critical.
Playing Hamlet looks weak and frankly, he's got enough crap in HIS record that should get him axed early.

Sorry, that's the way I feel about him....let him stay home and grope some ladies in the neighborhood...

And one of them got a little too excited and spilled the beans.

I do think he is going to get in the race.

20. If Joe enters the race, he will be the spoiler for Hillary's hopes.

I think it would be wrong for him to just enter the race for that reason only, but maybe he knows something about Hillary that we don't know, and he feels like he has to save the country.
