Has anyone heard, "Obama is a nice guy, but it's time for a change" in the real world?

I haven't. Not even close.

These Kochhead ads are really pissing me off, mostly because we already know they freaking HATE Obama. The "aww shucks" stuff is a total lie.

Who are these "people" in their ads?

The ad is a result of a focus group. russspeakeasy Aug 2012 #1
Doubtful, I think they just paid some actors to squawk the words of the Koch's. tridim Aug 2012 #2
It's wishful thinking, and actually quite desperate if that's the best they can do. nt Cognitive_Resonance Aug 2012 #3

It's incoherent messaging. "Obama is a nice guy" counters their ONLY argument. CabCurious Aug 2012 #9

They surveyed and found out that people basically like Obama, hence the ad.

Of course that doesn't have to be disclosed in the fine print thanks to the SCOTUS.

have been presented to trick people over and over and over....

"Both the same, you can't trust anyone"

"Negative politics by both sides, a turn off".

"Time for a change." This one by two parties trying and failing to meld into some Lovecraftian slime from the bankster vaults. The Dems still are determined to serve people and the nation and the GOP keeps devolving to deny them this.

Obama is responsible for the Bush Recession, because, with a shrug, the "information" media surrendered holding the GOP accountable for anything a long long time ago.

The false equivalency pose- and it is a purely mendacious pose in itself(tinged with goofy private "cynicism&quot - of reviewing ad honesty and negative campaigning and just about any real conflict or contest aspect is the GOP blindsiding operation on its highest possible plane- which is... advantage, lies. Lies work when presented as a viable position in a false Yin/Yang political universe defined by "smart cynical" media gatekeepers.

They aren't even running any ads here in Idaho, so they are carefully selecting which states to spew their garbage.
It won't work, not this time.

It's the curse of Dick Cheney -- "The GOP party is in it's last throes."

And the really pathetic part about it was that they didn't even mention Mitt R0bme at all. The people in the ad were saying "Obama is a nice guy, but it's time for a change"...but they never said a change to WHAT exactly. That tells you right there that the other side has nothing new nor positive to offer the country, and all they can rely on is Obama Derangement Syndrome.

granted, most of the company I keep are Democrats though. My mom, who is Republican, is not going to vote for Obama/Biden but she doesn't like Romney/Ryan either and thinks that she may not vote at all in November. Frankly, if you like President Obama, not voting for him and/or voting for "change", which in this case happens to be Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan, makes you a hugh moran!
