Few people on the far right have read either.

However, undecided voters can be reached by describing the philosophies, especially when it comes to pointing out that the far right has followed Alinsky's playbook practically to the letter, even though their policies are pure Rand.

Saul Alinsky is a boogyman to RWers. Most don't know who he is or what he stood for, but they are terrified of him. Ayn Rand is a terrifying type of person, who worshiped a serial killer, but now she is shorthand for "evil", so is comparable to Alinsky in that way. However, I disagree that Ryan's love of her isn't going to have any kind of impact at all. It may be negligible or it might be great. It depends on if you view his budget plan as the spawn of Ayn Rand's thinking or not.
