2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI don’t want to spend the next four years wishing we had done more.
I have nightmares about election night 2004, sitting is a surgery waiting room in San Francisco, waiting to see if they were able to put my son back together. I remember the silent faces of strangers who were dealing with personal tragedies and sharing a national one. I want another night like 2008 when friends from around the world called and emailed to congratulate us and thank us. If we lose this time, getting it back will be much more difficult if not impossible. The corporatists cant afford and wont allow another attempt at reviving the democracy they find so inconvenient.
I'm off to a Democratic fundraiser. I'm fired up and ready to go.

(25,242 posts)I remember how relieved I was when I heard Barack Obama won the Presidency. I was down in Grant Park and Downtown Chicago that night and I can't tell you how joyous it was.

(15,189 posts)Before we start thinking about losing. The GOP convention is going to be a disaster. Who knows if Mitt will even be the nominee.
