People who AREN'T paying attention hear "Clinton"... and think yeah, okay.

People who ARE paying attention hear what Bernie Sanders has to say and think to themselves..."Whoa! I fucking LIKE that."

Polls? People hear "Clinton" and say "yes" BECAUSE they've heard the name so many fucking times in the last 30 years they can recite it in their sleep and they don't pay attention to every day news.

People hear "Bernie Sanders" and say... Who?

That shit's GONNA CHANGE. And when it does...

See ya... wouldn't want to BE YA.

Because I couldn't figure out if you were a Clinton fan who couldn't write an intelligent paragraph or a Sanders fan who couldn't write an intelligent paragraph.

Maybe the poster's paragraph isn't the problem. Food for thought....

I think Bernie Sanders has done amazingly well considering how many political pundits like Chris Mathews were so dismissive of him. I'm looking forward to voting for him in the primary, and hoping to vote for him as the next President.

He is not new to politics. If he has name recognition problems after decades he is not leader.

He was sworn into the senate in 2007. In case you're counting, that's less than a single decade let alone "decades".

Funny you are opposed to a candidate you evidently know precious little about. Revealing, one might even say.

I let the reader determine how much weight to give to your opinions on his leadership qualities given these inaccuracies. Besides, nobody makes up their mind on DU.

Most don't even know their own. You're lucky if someone can name their Senators, forget about House members.

There are alwasy a handful of grandstanders, probably the ones with presidential aspirations, who seem to make a point of trying to get on TV talk shows. But the vast majority just go about their business and don't get famous, even after 10 or 20+ years there.

You don't get known for "accomplishements" -- you get known via PR.

So fine, many people aren't familiar with Sanders. How many other people who have been in the Senate since 2007--or in Congress in any capacity since 1991--are any better known than he is? (And yes, there are plenty of people in this category to choose from.)

He has been a politician his whole life and despite his numerous attacks against democrats, he is using the democrats to attempt to win an election. He is mediocre, with nothing of substance accomplished, and a hypocrite.

Bernies window is closing.

This hillary is doomed/just wait till people hear about Bernie stuff has been trumpeted here for almost half a year now, we now are about three months from the primary and bernies/hillarys arcs arent diverging enough for bernie to catch her.

I mostly agree w your general theory about people and who they are supporting, I disagree that it is going to change enough for bernie to get past her.

I's he not the king of social media activism? Isn't he the prize winner for individual donations? Did he not only stand strong on the stage in the democratic debates, but inject himself in Hillary's email nonsense? Does he not have thousands of people showing up at his rally's?

No, I rather think he has the oppisite problem...
