This forum reminds me even more than before of a disturbed bee hive. Might as well offer one of those "facts."

FWIW they didn't like this when I posted it in a long post disclosing her true positions either. But I'll "rec" anyway.

The claims are verifiably and wholly true, but will it stop the guffawing here when she says she called out Wall street on these issues, or will the cartoon caricatures of her as a complete tool of Wall Street persist? My bet's on the latter.

ON EDIT: I see the mockery has already begun. You post a series of well researched fact finding articles, replete from quotations in early 2007, and all our resident humorist do is respond with a smiley. You'll never convince the obdurates.

Recognize facts, and give a fair hearing to evidence that doesn't support your preconceived views?

Because from what I read i seems like no amount of facts, evidence, or pattern of behavior is even recognized a little bit.

4. Wall Street banks paid Hillary over $3 million in income in 2013 alone for speaking to them

While the too big to fail banks were being prosecuted for rigging markets and being fined billions for bilking investors, Hillary made a fortune speaking to these banks. Hillary has high ranking employees from these too big to fail banks working on her campaign. These too big to fail Wall Street banks also represent her biggest campaign donors

Hillary also refuses to consider reinstating Glass Steagall to separate high risk investment banking from regular banking that is backed with tax payer money.

Wall Street has made Hillary Clinton a millionaire

By Heather Long - October 13, 2015: 11:38 AM ET

As Clinton tries to talk tough about how she will stand up to America's biggest banks, her Democratic rivals are likely to remind voters just how cozy she's been with Wall Street.

Clinton made $3.15 million in 2013 alone from speaking to firms like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and UBS, according to the list her campaign released of her speaking fees.

"Her closeness with big banks on Wall Street is sincere, it's heart-felt, long-established and well known," former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley has said on the campaign trail.

While Clinton has given paid speeches to many groups, Wall Street banks and investment houses made up a third of her speech income.

She even made more money speaking to UBS and Goldman Sachs than her husband Bill did. Goldman Sachs in New York paid Bill $200,000 for a speech in June 2013 and Hillary $225,000 for a speech in October of that year.

And no its not just banks giving to the Clinton foundation.

They give to her personally to her bank account as well.

This is not just philanthropy.

Can you please recognize that?

One common criticism I see babbled against Hillary supporters is "not providing substance" or however phrased idiocy people come with. This thread should provide a great example of how any positive action Hillary has taken gets ignored or twisted.

This is fictituous -- but I doubt it's very far from the truth, as it fits the pattern.

She and her crack team of research saw trouble brewing in 2007 (like many others who were paying attention) and that when the shit started hitting the fan publicly, that would be an excellent issue to campaign on as the economy was tanking. And of course Bush was in power so she could blame it all on the GOP, rather than the failed policies of the earlier Clinton administration.

So she started to "call on" Wall St. and banks to clean up their act, with a handy dandy laundry list prepared by her crack research staff. Even filed a few bills that had no chance, to stake out a position. (Funny how people criticize Sanders for filing bills to make a statement.)

Question. Where was she when the policies that caused that mess were being put into place?

Much of which over time proves contradictory. It's gives her an easy sound bit to take any side of an issue when it suits her. If there is any doubt about where she stands today on this issue look at who funds her campaign.
