given the lopsided support of primary candidates on Democratic Underground

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by BooScout (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

do you think Hillarysupporters want DU to flourish or would they prefer something else?
I have seen some interesting actions taken to shut down liberal/progressive internet forums.
could DU be next?

this is Skinner and EarlG's mission, I get concerned about other parties coming in here and trying to disrupt our mission. We will achieve our mission to elect a Democrat president.

11. It is preconvention season. We just have to thank God that we don't have 16 candidates.

The admins would not be able to afford bandwidth for it. Once the convention is over we will stop hating each other and change up on the Republicans. Same thing every 4 years. Rinse and repeat.

Some of us just take it way too seriously though.

We are Democrats, we could elect Alfred E. Neuman and be better off with him and get more accomplished than with any of the Republicans. Which ever of our candidates comes in last is still 1000% better than anything they can offer.

With the same overarching democratic principles, same as you.

And the desire to continue to move the country away from republican craziness, same as you.

And the belief that a Democratic candidate is hands down a better alternative than anything the other side has to offer, same as you.

Now, with all that in mind, do you understand why the question in your OP is so fucking stupid?

Bernie supporters may be at DU in loud quantity, but what about the quality and the silent majority I think exists at DU just as it does within the Democratic Party membership DU was forged to support.

Bernie supporters will grumble, but either keep their mouths shut about Clinton til after the election or leave the site for the duration, but if he manages to pull off the upset and become the nominee, I kind of expect about half of the Hillary supporters to go into foaming apoplexy.

on the loosing side who were the most argumentative will lake a little longer because they will be embarished by some of the things that were said, but they will be welcomed back anyway. It is just the nature of the Democratic Party.

We just can't help it.
