Where is George W. Bush?

You'd think the most recent GOP President would have a major role in this week's convention, but he'll probably be"cleaning brush" in Texas, like he did during most of his presidency. No. the GOP want to pretend he wasn't the one who ran this country off the fiscal cliff, after inheriting a budget surplus from President Clinton.

Here's an article from December 2007 to remind people just how bad things were the last time Americans trusted Republicans. You remember, after 8 years of what's-his-name.

USA 2008: The Great Depression
Food stamps are the symbol of poverty in the US. In the era of the credit crunch, a record 28 million Americans are now relying on them to survive – a sure sign the world's richest country faces economic crisis

(excerpt)
"Remember the presidential debates in 2000 between Al Gore and George Bush, and how the two men argued over how to spend America’s anticipated $2.2 trillion budget surplus? But the Bush administration had its own ideas. The first major economic initiative pursued by the president was a massive tax cut for the rich, enacted in June of 2001. Those with incomes over a million got a tax cut of $18,000—more than 30 times larger than the cut received by the average American. The inequities were compounded by a second tax cut, in 2003, this one skewed even more heavily toward the rich. Together these tax cuts, when fully implemented and if made permanent, mean that in 2012 the average reduction for an American in the bottom 20 percent will be a scant $45, while those with incomes of more than $1 million will see their tax bills reduced by an average of $162,000.Tax expenditures—the vast system of subsidies and preferences hidden in the tax code—increased more than a quarter. Tax breaks for the president’s friends in the oil-and-gas industry increased by billions and billions of dollars."

Now, Mitt Romney wants to continue the Bush Tax Cuts again, because they're working so well, right? In fact, after every one of the GOP speakers lies about how our economic situation is all Obama's fault, they're going to once again obstruct the budget negotiations, and why? To make sure the Bush Tax Cuts for the millionaires are extended again!

...that everyone shuns because he is such an embarrassment. And to think in 2000, he was billed as the second coming of St. Ronnie the Raygun.

How'd that workout?

Everything that happened between 2001 and 2009 was actually a figment of your imagination.

The last two presidents were Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and between them they ruined this once great nation.

and keep our hands off of it.

George "Dumbya" and his cabal of criminals stole from it to give tax breaks to the rich and their wealthy corporate friends.

For Godssakes, America, PLEASE WAKE UP!!!
