stupid question about fund raising

is tonight THE deadline for the Obama campaign or just A deadline? I want to send another small amount but I am totally broke until a direct deposit happens tonight at midnight AZ time.

this can't be the final deadline for the election can it? that is what the e-mails are sounding like

1. It's just a quarterly FEC reporting deadline

Don't send a donation before midnight if you are waiting for a deposit.

Money sent after midnight will still help to fund ads and pay for office space and staff, etc. — that is to say, will help with the election. It just won't be added to the total that is reported for the quarter.

4. No - it's a Monthly reporting deadline...

...and not actually an FEC requirement (quarterly reporting is due after Sept 30); however it's a political reporting deadline, because the press will compare how much each campaign raised in August.

For the primary - I think it was August 5 or once the Obama officially becomes the party nominee.

After that there are different fund raising limits for the general election.

I didn't think there was any way in hell it was a complete end to fundraising, this is American politics after all, even if a deadline there is the next cycle to start, right?

and now I have a little more immediate financial problem to deal with and may not be able to do anything anyway. did send some earlier and got my made in the USA birth cert. mug, though.
