8. well, FDR enjoyed the luxury of Democratic majority all through his first term. He also was stymied

by GOP later on and is one reason the depression started to take hold again before WW2. Keynes tried to tell the president and others they weren't infusing the economy ENOUGH! But they did manage to accomplish some absolutely wonderful things during his 3 terms that stand as actual and figurative monuments even to this day (Hoover Dam, Social Security, TVA levee systems, FDIC and many more).

What I mean is I think once he isn't looking at reelection, he might be a bit more bold to follow through on some of his more groundbreaking policy proposals. Key in that will be restructuring tax code and continuing down the path of investment in public works in our country.

Would love to see us do better through industrial policy to increase overall exports.

6. Thanks everyone! My name is purposefully a bit cheeky. About congressional races....

I just helped out with getting Suzanne Bonemici elected, and now we'll have to turn right around and do it again since her election was to replace Wu. Primary coming up then November. Should be an easy victory since she destroyed Cornilles.

I do believe if we can help Obama generate turnout--especially from the dorks who DIDN'T SHOW UP in 2008, we could see serious gains in the congress and hopefully the Senate.

3_16 could stand for THREE branches of government in 2016!

As we've seen, having a Democratic President isn't enough without having a Democratic Congress. Having a Democratic Congress is not enough with a right wing Supreme Court.

Let's aim for all three branches of government by 2016!
