Sunday's Chicago Sun-Times Rips Obama.....

I picked up the Sunday Times on Saturday and was scanning the pages. Here are a few of the items I came across:

1. Obama Team Tries To Shift Focus After Flat Speech, Weak Jobs Report by Lynn Sweet

2. Obama Can't Run On Record, So Dems Double Down On Lies by Steve Huntley

3. A Political Cartoon by Jack Higgins - Jack Higgins Opinion where he has Obama standing in front of the people at the DNC with a spotlight on him and his arms held up to the sky with the thought balloon from Obama's head saying "Why do we need God.. When we've already got me.

Now this is Obama's hometown paper and they are taking these shots at him. This is what people are reading and they are hearing in the MSM. I was blown away by these items slamming Obama and the Dems.

Are people in other parts of this country seeing the same type of shots being taken at Obama in their local papers?

I read the Los Angeles Times, and even though they are fairly conservative, their editorials are fair. They are not behaving like this.

Shame on the Chicago Sun-Times.

intentionally biased shots at Obama.
Flat speech? It wasn't over the top but it certainly wasn't flat.
Obama is running on his record, it is the Repugs that keep saying he isn't. Total nonsense.
The cartoon was the worst. Obama isn't saying this crap but Fox News sure is.
This is the sort of crap I hear from the right wingers at work that has no basis in fact. Makes me sick.

but in 1984 the Sun Times was mainly read for its features . . . including a formless crossword that was moderately more fun than a regular crossword.

For intelligent reporting we read the Trib.

Lynn Sweet's column is pretty straight up. She provides the Obama campaign's take on the speech. She's been doing this for decades and guests on Bill Press. She's a pro.

Jack Higgins has been conservative all his days at the times. Nothing new.

Steve Huntley is just a partisan fogey.

There are several Liberal columnists/opinions currently running as well.

I will say that the Sun Times comments regulars give Yahoo and fox a run for their money.

Obama's record is nothing to hide from. "Why do we need God.. When we've already got me. " thats is just fucking nosense.

Need to submitt a respose to the paper regarding those three things, send it in as a LTTE.
