He has already fired the guy so he figures he is in the clear now. He has his supporters doing conspiracy theory work for him, so no need to worry now.

... and obviously it's going to take some skillful writing to come up with a statement that attempts to control the damage; assigns blame elsewhere; minimizes the director's actual role and importance; implies victimhood; encourages conspiracy theories; asserts that the DNC should be thanking Bernie's campaign instead of punishing them; deflects and changes the subject; makes fallacious comparisons to Hillary; make it believable and avoid sounding petty or hypocritical; and have it all ready before 2PM.

It would need to be something that's kinda like the heroic efforts we're seeing here on this website, except that it will need to be written as a single coherent and plausible press-release rather than as an abrupt series of individual messages.

From almost any standpoint, that's a rather tall order to fulfill!

Oh, I kid the Senator from Vermont!

It will certainly be interesting to watch and see how all this plays out.

He'll use his press time to offer up a stump speech, thus avoiding another controversial burning issue.

Just how he rolls.
