Mitt Romney is trying to channel Barry White.

You know how Mittsy has that tension-filled, nervous, "pitchy" voice? Well, one of his halfassed ads just came on ABC in the northeast market, and instead of the usual, "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message" blurb in his "regular" voice at the end of the ad, he lowered his voice a full octave and it sounded like he was trying to be .... SEDUCTIVE!

I almost fell off the damn couch I was laughing so hard! It wasn't subtle, either--it was obvious that he was trying to add an extra dose of "MANLY" to the ad with his approval tagline!!!

6. It's one of his new ads. I honestly wasn't watching.

I tune his ass out. However, when I HEARD that "I'm Mitt Romney, and I approve this message" I was gobsmacked--he might as well have put a "baby" after Romney, and finished up with an "Ummmmm hmmmmmm!" It was obvious that he was trying to pump up the testosterone!

If I see it again I will make a note of it and try to find it on YOUTUBE. The approval tag is SO affected one can't help but notice it!

After all, Scott Brown wears the Bruins gear and drives a gas guzzling truck that he doesn't use in business or recreation and runs around glomming on to war heroes and fishermen and people who work for a living, to try to play the Everyman card--it's lame as hell. But he's playing the MANLY card too--and his target is clearly sexist white males.
