Larrry Flynt offers $1 million dollars to see Romney's Financial Information

The Fat Lady is tuning up on Romney....

(CNN) - The publisher of Hustler magazine, Larry Flynt, is offering the sum for the skinny on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's financials, the magazine announced.

It is taking out full-page advertisements in two newspapers - The Washington Post on Sunday, and USA Today on Tuesday - "offering up to a million dollars in cash for documented evidence concerning Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships," a press release from the magazine read.

Uh Oh Mitt.....

Romney has released his tax returns for 2010 and an estimate of his 2011 tax liability, but has repeatedly said he would not release additional years, saying it would be fodder for Democrats to criticize him.

Earlier in the week, an anonymous online poster claimed it was holding stolen tax documents belonging to Romney ransom for $1 million in an internet currency. Should the sum not be paid by later this month, the posting said a key to unlock the documents would be released publicly, while the financial firm from which the documents were allegedly stolen said there is "no evidence of unauthorized access to our data."

And speaking of Anonymous...here is what they said....

“Using your office” in Franklin, Tennessee, the group tells PricewaterhouseCoopers in an online posting, “we were able to gain access to your network file servers and copy over the tax documents for one Willard M Romney and Ann D Romney.”

The group threatened to send encrypted copies to “all major news outlets” and warned that it would release all the documents on Sept. 28 if its demands were not met.

The group demanded $1 million worth of the online currency Bitcoins to prevent it from releasing the private information to the public. It said that people who want the documents released can send money as well. Whichever side sends $1 million first will win.

Price-Waterhouse-Coopers says they don't have them but....

"We are aware of the allegations that have been made regarding improper access to our systems. We are working closely with the United States Secret Service, and at this time there is no evidence that our systems have been compromised or that there was any unauthorized access to the data in question."

PwC did, however, prepare Romney's 2010 return.

This sounds as if, the next couple of weeks up to September 28, before the October 6 Presidential Debate, will be VERY INTERESTING....
