Live at the Sanders rally in Amherst MA

Full crowd at the Fine Arts Center, with outside overflow crowd.

Overwhelmingly White. I see no non-Whites in the crowd, 2-3 on stage.

Primarily millenials and white hairs.

New slogan: "A FUTURE TO BELIEVE IN"

Get up off your ass and participate, regardless of skin color.

Sanders addresses voter suppression regularly... are certain folks just not tuning in? Just found this on his website:

http://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/video-audio/voter-suppression

Economic justice and a $15 minimum wage would benefit POC greatly. Are some voters just not paying attention yet?

But, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, expecting an Amherst turnout to look like a DC rally is rather ridiculous. And the OP knows it.

Of course in 1972 George did exactly that and they tried at the last minute to change the rules and cheat him out of the nomination. They failed but settled for just sabotaging his campaign which the Republicans and CREEP were only too grateful for and went on to do what the Democratic leadership had already started. Would they do the same to the Sanders campaign? I don't know - hopefully they are as scared of Trump and Cruz as we are. Besides, I wouldn't want to engage in such tactics.

Regardless who is to blame - if the devil himself was running against Ted Cruz or Donald Trump - I would support the devil himself. They are just too dangerous.

Be brave and explain yourself. You were the one so concerned over insults, and it seems to me you landed a pretty vile one. Explain exactly what you intended that to mean.

Your diversions seem quite cowardly. Just explain what you meant when you said that "I shank sheep."...pluck up the courage, quit being so obvious in you avoidance, and just explain yourself. Your constant deferment seems to be the saddest walk back I've ever known anyone to do. Is this how all Sanders supporter defend their own statements, or is this unique to you?

I reported what I observed.

I could also have reported that there was a large American flag on the stage, but I suppose someone might have accused me of suggesting that the campaign was being jingoistic.

Okay, it was gracioius of you to mention an overflow crowd...

But no mention of what he said, not any description of enthusiasm or anything else. Just a dry recitation of the cliches about the "Sanders supporters." That being those crazy youngsters and white old farts (as if there is something wrong with both categories)

You are correct. I screwed up. I read the OP, the first replies, then kind of assumed the rest of the thread was more of the same, and posted prematurely.

My apologies. Can I use the excuse that it's early in the AM and I hadn't had my first cup of coffee?
