Bernie Should Have Chosen a Different Day for His Wall St. Speech

Today's news coverage is going to be dominated by coverage of President Obama's speech. Bernie is going to struggle to break through, and we'll be on to the next news cycle.

His supporters might claim that it's bias against him, I think it reflects a lack of media savvy by his campaign.

as a national candidate. You'd better be a skilled politician and have a great campaign team to overcome the "Democratic Socialist" label. Sanders hasn't shown he's up to the task.

And "We need to be more like Scandinavia" ain't gonna cut it.

Sanders had plenty of time to adjust the scheduling of his speech. Sanders speech on socialism was also scheduled at a time to almost guarantee that the media would not cover that speech. The Sanders campaign is really weak on the scheduling concept and understanding when is the best time to get medial coverage

Also having Hill on Hardball tonight to talk about her wall street plan, after uttering not a word throughout her campaign, unlike Bernie, it IS his platform. HE should be on Hardball, discussing his speech and wall street reforms.

Again, refer to the subject line.......

With y'all the memes are in - it is never good enough Bernie.

So fuck that noise.

We are adults. I think we can handle both a Wall Street reform speech AND gun control executive orders on the same day. After all, this is the real world and presidents have to live in the real world.

He announced it before Obama announced his on the same day.

Had he then rescheduled it, beyond logistics, it would have looked odd.

No, he is doing the right thing. He supports Obama's orders and has said so over this past few campaign stops. He is going to give a kick ass speech giving details that many have asked for.

I don't give a shit what DU'ers say. It doesn't mean it doesn't get tiresome here all the same bullshit lies, distortions, and yammerings.

Even if it would have "looked odd," that would have been preferable to giving a major policy speech that goes completely ignored.

Unless, of course, you don't mind if it's ignored, so you can raise money from crying about the biased media.

Bernie should be taking advantage of social media in unprecedented ways if he wants to win. Of course though, he's no social media genius, but he should have one. In fact, Bernie should have at least a few geniuses on his side if he wants to win. You don't even begin to play chess with the oligarchs unless you have strategic geniuses that can outsmart them. If he has any, I haven't seen any signs of it yet.

Bernie won't have to face this onslaught alone. Neither should HRC. We are the ones the 1% hates. No POTUS/Senator etc can go it alone. Hillary herself has not proved that either, imo. If I'm wrong-please link me to a credible source that shows it.

And if he delivers on a slow news day, the networks will still concentrate on the latest Trump Clinton dustup.

The Sanders campaign has already worked a miracle, just getting this far against the monolithic power of the Media Industrial Political Complex.
