The Clintons' Paid-Speech Bonanza

http://www.truth-out.org/news/item/34301-the-clintons-paid-speech-bonanza

Hillary Clinton is said to be buoyant over her prospects to become the next US President, as Republicans feud over Donald Trump's disruptive campaign and Sen. Bernie Sanders fails to articulate a clear foreign policy, but perhaps the biggest obstacle still confronting the ex-Secretary of State is her own record as a beneficiary of rich and powerful corporate interests.

"The truth is, you can't change a corrupt system by taking its money," says a Sanders's television commercial. And Clinton has left herself open to that charge by profiting off her government experience, racking up $11.8 million in 51 speaking fees in the 14-month period from January 2014 to May 2015 before she became an official candidate for President, according to disclosure records.

For speeches usually lasting between 30 minutes and one hour, Clinton was paid from $100,000 to $335,000, an average around $230,000. Many of her paid speeches were delivered to Wall Street, Big Pharma, Tech and other industries with interests in influencing government policies.

6. The Clinton Foundation and these "speaking fees" are a time bomb

Most people don't understand who has paid the Clintons for speaking fees. Furthermore, most people are unaware of the potential time bombs in the Clinton Foundation ledgers.

Just one example: Boeing contributed $900,000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2011; and then two months later Hillary personally inked a Boeing-led $29 billion deal for fighter jets that were sold to Saudi Arabia. These transactions happened while Clinton was SOS, and Andrew Shapiro, an assistant secretary of state and aid to Clinton is on record as saying that this sale was a "top priority" for Clinton.

The Clinton Foundation and these "speaking fees" are yet-to-be vetted time bombs.

...for powerful corporate interests, warmongers, Wall Street nimrods and other associated sociopaths who seek a "legitimate" way to pay corrupt politicians for favors.

Boeing Rep, "I'd really like to sell billions of our fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. Can you help me with that Madam Secretary of State?"
SOS Hillary: "Well, I'll have to think about that."
Boeing Rep: "Does 900k donated to your Clinton Foundation help you think faster?"
SOS Hillary: "I'll have the contracts signed by this afternoon!"

When you read what happened with that deal, the above scenario really isn't a stretch. Boeing donated 900k to the Clinton Foundation. Two months later Hillary personally spearheaded a Boeing-led billion-dollar defense contract to sell fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.

Seriously. There goes my morning kale omelette.

Link to deal further details of the Boeing deal. Trigger warning. You may cry, moan, want to break lamps:

We saw how well she defended her Wall Street campaign contributions. "But nine eleven!" ...Oh brother.

No way can she defend any of that with a straight face.

She'll be on the defensive the entire campaign. She'll be ripped to shreds. And we'll be stuck with President Trump.

If an industry event is paying her 335k, then 1. They can easily afford it, and 2. The event organizers are making that much more from the event itself...
