Zora Neale Hurston is an amazing woman. She had such an interesting life and such a sad sad death. If it wasn't for the wonderful Alice Walker Their Eyes Were Watching God wouldn't been as well known as it is today.

Have you seen "Jump at the Sun"? Wonderful documentary on Hurston. "She could tell you to go to hell and make you enjoy the trip." http://www.amazon.com/Zora-Neale-Hurston-Jump-Sun/dp/B001QX49MU/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1337312478&sr=1-1
