Rachel Maddow had a real good segment about this on her show last night:

I'm going to keep these new owners and their workers in my prayers. This is pretty scary stuff and they are very brave people.

(17,055 posts)"how cruel some some people are". They are trying to re-zone the area where that clinic has operated for years so that the clinic can't re-open in that spot. I hope the medical group wins that argument. Seems those nasties will try that approach first but what will they do if the clinic is able to re-open? That's the scary part. I'm glad that Rachel is shining a light on this.

(34,108 posts)I knew Dr. Tiller. Not well but had worked in groups that involved either him or people who worked for him but none of the groups actually had anything to do with abortion at the time I was doing them. I met him on several occasions and because of my friendship with some people who knew him well I was able to be around him from time to time. Again, not often, I was not a good friend and I doubt he would have even remembered my name if I had seen him again. Still....
I am so pleased they are doing this. For many reasons.
I will never forget the feeling I had when I heard about his death on the news.
