(41,977 posts)When we were in Detroit at the Henry Ford Museum, I forgot to mention that earlier, there was, well not exactly a prototype, but a example of genius self sufficient dymaxion home. You have to wonder what would have happened if the designer had gotten funding.

Is it in the same place in Arizona where another one is? It's about an hour or so north of Phoenix. I've been to that one, & while cool to visit, is much more rudimentary than this design. Also, the green grass is throwing me off.

From googling, I think she may be married now, & goes by another last name? Not sure.
It is affiliated with the University of Arizona. It's called Biosphere 2, & is about 10 miles north of Tucson.
It's a pretty cool place.
