Here are a couple of examples. Hopefully these would no longer be considered funny, but violence against women is still sometimes used to get a laugh.

1. As a longtime postcard collector

Who has rifled through literally millions of cards, there isn't a single subject, topic, or movement which hasn't been depicted in postcards. It is difficult to understand this without attending a postcard show...I attend one each year which has 30 dealers and over 100 million cards with relatively few duplicates. Dirty, funny, informative, historical, advertising, tasteless, beautiful, ...it's all there ranging in price from <$1 to thousands for a single card (the cards pictured would take a long time to sell for a quarter). Vintage postcards are a glimpse at our social history...and history in general. .

him up as a conquering hero. after all, the dick in the mouth was a woman we do not like. to that makes it ok.

so, no. it is NO different today than yesterday. and NO different from our dems or repugs.

8. maybe. i dont know. seems to me this one was all men cheering flynt on. i am pretty fair

pointing out women participating in the patriarchy. but honestly, recalling a couple threads, most all women spoke out against or said nothing.

but, ya. generally you got that right. and betcha the same names would be in the thread cheering, if that happened. no doubt.

but flynt may have gone too far in having any woman supporters. that is saying a hell of a lot

though, with more thought, if just ONE of us were to speak out against it in a thread today, betcha he would have the support. ya. probably. that was before though.

9. I would have to see the threads but, the whole concept of

a dick in the mouth to shut up a woman has been applauded on DU by certain women.

I was told by two Female DUers in the Lounge that I was bitter and needed some Dick.

That would make me happy and content and keep me quiet (Shut My Mouth!).

One of these Female DUers no longer posts of her own volition because she has not been PPRd nor, will she.

The other one is very prevalent on the boards to This Day and holds several positions of Power/Authority within the DU3 construct.

until this person publicly acknowledges these actions taken against me and publicly apologizes for the public actions taken against me I see no reason to apologize for anything I have said to anyone.

I will always consider this person to be Living a Lie and all their posts ring False to me.

People may not always agree with what I say on here but, they know one thing, for sure, I speak the Truth about how I feel about things.

Consider the source. Always. Even if it is truth spoken: a Liar will will make it a Lie.

This person can rec all the Feminist threads they want and can participate in this Group all they want. I still do not believe there is truth in their heart. What I see is Damage Control being taken for their OnLine Persona. It rings False for me and it always will.
