Yeah, saying 100% of their ads aren't great is a fantastical understatement.

Ooops--I'm wrong....I just did a google image search and there are a few fellows in there. They look like a new addition to the standard. They are, though, of a certain demographic--young and appealing, same as the women.

I also can't remember seeing old naked people, or fat/skinny/saggy naked people; they're always going for the "sex sells" paradigm.

Honestly; at this point in time, it's all SSDD. The "Oooooooh, NAKED in the STREET" stunt has just lost shock value. Forty years ago, it was Ooooh Laa Laa! Now it's Ho-Hum...!

Then I'd give men some hobbies. For example, knitting.

PETA's add are disrespectful and degrading to women, and try to use the same "shock" tactics anti- choicer do.

While I respect the underlying message-- there Is no way I'd go through PETA to express it

11. I do have to say that I feel sad for these women who are buying the line that,

"If you aren't totally comfortable being naked in all venues and situations, you are prudish and "sex-negative." Your nudity can be used to sell ideas - mostly ideas about nudity."

But, of course, this applies only if you are a woman. Men don't need to prove their "sex positivity."

12. Also, reinforcing conventional beauty standards in the name of raising consciousness is ironic

if not downright hypocritical. I have no problem with sexual imagery in itself, but it shouldn't necessarily be mixed with political activism - if nothing else, the message tends to get muddled.
