3. Ever creating legends in their own minds

It's just one ridiculous example of how this paradigm saturates the world around us and is even used as a marketing tool. These are the cartoonish, hyper-masculine archetypes created BY men FOR men who think they know what women want. And of course, in that universe women are fickle sluts looking for any excuse to dump the "good guy" and run off with their barbarian - as his adoring prize.

8. What is weirdest is that just about everyone, with the exception of those convinced that

"abuse of the nice guy" is really a thing understand that this is ridiculous. I think the men creating this stuff are just messing with those men who are silly enough to buy into this. And those who buy into this are never going to let it go because it allows them to place the blame for their lack of social success on something other than their own personalities.

I would be willing to bet my house on the idea that all of those "nice guys" out there wallowing in their "abuse" don't give the time of day to women who are not conventionally attractive.

just as surely as the countless beauty shots we endlessly see effect us. we intellectually know better. in our hearts we do not care. we have our sense of worth and fuck it. but still.... it does effect us. one look in the mirror, and damn getting old. STOP IT. lol, not gonna do that anymore.

i see it in the men, and the boys in my life. and these are the good guys. that know better. and a constant awareness and fighting the conditioning.

ya. most can laugh. but... it is everywhere all the time.

"Nice guys" finish last and what women want are the brutes. Lovely.

This commercial is just one example of how our whole society is being brainwashed. These kinds of images and messages literally saturate our world and it's difficult to not let some of that sink in, even if on a subliminal level. It's horribly damaging to us all.

By the way, having some time to reflect, I think my choice of title for this thread was poorly considered. I'm still agog over a thread on GD in which it was posited that women are programmed to seek out the hypermasculine, barbarian male. Therefore, I'm going to edit the thread title to be less pithy.

7. women are all liars. this afternoon talking to two 20 yr olds with a 16 yr old son listening.

some of the conversation went into them making the mra comments. i was telling them, in a show recently a son and i watching. the questioned asked, how did you know she was lying. and two old men said... she is a woman, isnt she.

how we constantly and continually conditioned. i told them, being about the only non liar from this side of my family, .... i recent the hell out of men giving that characteristic to me, simply cause i am female.
