History of Feminism
Related: About this forumI do wonder what redqueen would say about
the increasingly frequent discussions on DU about sexual harassment & assault. Her posts about misogynist cultural behaviors seem to have percolated through.
I do miss her thoughts.

(5,311 posts)What has become of her?
irisblue
(33,247 posts)She got a lot of grief for her posts and positions. Enough finally was enough for her.

(115,160 posts)Missed you guys too but this place just got to be too much for me.
Now that Trump is in office and a GE is coming up, I couldn't stay away.

(115,160 posts)while you're taking care of her. I did and those are moments I will never forget.
I lost my mom last year. Miss her so, so much.
boston bean
(36,345 posts)Very sorry for your loss. Moms are our rock and best friend.

(16,349 posts)we lost several voices but things are changing. I wish they would come back!
redqueen
(115,160 posts)but was honestly afraid it woulnd't have changed things much.
Anyway - I'm back! But mostly just for the GE. I'm still afraid to talk about feminist issues here.
Phentex
(16,349 posts)but I understand. I often stop myself from posting certain things.
It's really good to see you.
redqueen
(115,160 posts)Really good to see you, too

(33,247 posts)Passionate, articulate & what she'd have to say about the Toronto misogynist terror attacks, I'd be interested in knowing
redqueen
(115,160 posts)Not too sure it's worth talking about it here, though.

(24,184 posts)I don't come around much anymore (due to misogynist culture).
redqueen
(115,160 posts)of the way feminist issues were discussed here. I still don't know that this is the best place to discuss them.
I am back for the GE at least though.
redqueen
(115,160 posts)Like I said before I bailed - there are better places to discuss feminist ideas than DU. Talking about it here just seemed to be too despair-inducing iykwim.
How was the MeToo movement received here? Were the victim-blaming crowd silent or were the vocal? If they were vocal did they get a lot of support or mostly shut down?
irisblue
(33,247 posts)There will always be 'she was asking for it...' But the incels , themselves, seem to be too young for DU.
