Nike: Find Your Greatness. — Jogger

This is Nathan. He is 12 years old. He's from London, Ohio. Greatness is not beyond his reach, nor is it for any of us.

*ya. doesnt belong, but my son thought it huge and wanted me to put up.

like your son and my son who is big. Really inspiring. It's like putting someone you can relate to. Like going to a gym. I can understand why heavy people don't want to go. Some look at them in disgust and you just want to hide more. But this gives you a push and makes you think.

yet so often we choose to beat up to get a person to make good choices. that never works. only makes things worse.

my son really does not have issue, but he had more weight than the rest of us. there is no way one could consider him any more than 10-15 over lean. my other son so skinny, it messed with youngest head. he is now getting taller and leaner, which we all assumed would happen in time, given the chance. the problem there, with so much focus on our childrens weight, our battle was to keep the negative crap away from him and allow him to grow up.

on the one hand saying eat healthy and exercise. on the other hand saying.... you know you are ok. just a thicker body. and shoulders....

It's so hard trying to shield them from the overwhelming messages. So, so worrying.

is fat is lazy. I hate that. I have been heavy starting at 13 yrs old until now. I have always worked harder then some of my peers I worked with just to prove myself. I have gotten many awards. I worked hard and I always had my cloths made to go to work. I wore the girddle and nylons and high heels back then. I did all the right things. I always looked neat. I wasn't a slob. I'd have people say to me you are so beautiful if you only lose weight. Do you know how that works on a person when you never get positive feed back. The sad thing is a person who is morbidly obese has somethingelse going on. I don't know any fat person that wants to stay fat. None. You give your son the good vibes and love him for who he is. I think you are doing right. I think the last exceptable discrimination is against fat people. I feel sorry for the fat, african american gay kid. That kid has the triple wammie. I finally learned even after having major surgery to lose the weight to love myself. Because if you don't love yourself for who you are then no one else will. I did find happiness and have been married for 33 yrs. My husband is skinny. LOL It took years of being with him telling me over and over how much he loved me and my love handles (LOL). I wish the best for your son. You sound like a great mom.

7. fat people and smokers. the two groups. can be as ugly as one likes

i dont get it. it is their ugly. it really has nothing to do with the fat person or the smoker. i will hang with either of the two well before a person that has a desire to hurt another, and for no reason that i can see. literally, no reason. most times we hurt another (which i totally oppose anyway) we do it because we are hurt and want to lash out, or it makes us feel better in some ways. but really, the ugly to these two groups is nothing but ugly. that is all on that person.

gotta love yourself. that is what it is all about. no less than that. gotta be.

"it" factor. But once you got to know her people didn't want to be around her. She was a beautiful redhead with long hair. Beautiful fingernails. She chased my brother until she finally caught him. She destroyed my family. Beautiful outside but very, very ugly on the inside. I met a lot of people like that. I would rather have one good friend and 200 fake friends.

Even though size discrimination is worse for young women, young men are hardly immune
