How do I submit a request to add someone to in memoriam.
He passed away on May 29th, 2025. I did let someone else know who's a top poster here and knew him in person as well, I had assumed that they added him
I was with him for 5 yrs and miss him every single day.
I know he would want to be there.

(22,962 posts)I'm sorry to hear about this -- my condolences. I will add Dennis to the In Memoriam page. Normally when I do this, I link to the thread where the person's passing was announced. If you would like to, you can start a thread in the Lounge or General Discussion to let people know about Dennis, if you want to write something about him. Alternatively I can link directly to this thread. Whichever you prefer.
I wondered how he was. He stopped posting soon after Trump came in and I remembered his mentioning that he was barely subsisting.
He, wandering harper, MLF etc.
I felt really bad for a Facebook employee I once read about who was living out of their car. That is not really connected except I was ranting in another thread about data as oil, but I dont mean people barely getting by.
Edit: I am very sorry for your loss dewsgirl.

(171,648 posts)I know many DUers just walked away after the election (some temporarily and others promised "for good" ), but didn't realize that was his final goodbye.
Condolences to you, his family, and any who got to know him personally.

(6,373 posts)Thank you for informing us. I noticed he stopped posting here, as well as on Bluesky.
He was the first DUer I followed on Bluesky. I was new to DU at the time, but his posts had already left an impression on me.
