Gd poll on religion. (Original Post) hrmjustin Nov 2014 OP
Exceedingly interesting. NYC_SKP Nov 2014 #1
It's a good, but somewhat odd poll. It doesn't include Islam, but includes something cbayer Nov 2014 #2

I'm not sure if it's representative of DU, but among those who responded believers of one form or another are clearly the minority.

called Reconstructionist.

It also doesn't allow for multiple choices.

These polls are interesting, but offer nothing reliable. I am not surprised at the results at all. It is not surprising that a liberal/progressive site would have a large number of non-believers because that fits the demographics.

If you look at who said atheist, you might recognize about 10% of the names as people who participate in either religion or A/A. The other 90% don't and are most likely just personally atheistic with no need to make an issue of it. I would say the same for believers and agnostics and "others".

Some of the discussion is interesting and prophet451 is doing a really good job of managing the thread.

is that it was a really good discussion, despite the Usual Suspects' attempt to derail it.
