Old habits die hard.

I stopped at the cannabis shop, today, to replenish my Indica gummies. Once I got home, I immediately headed to my bedroom to ‘stash’ them in the back of a dresser drawer. Then it dawned on me - WTF am I doing?? I’m an adult and this stuff is now LEGAL!! The only reason for that behavior must be that, deep down in the bottom of my soul, I expect the ghost of my mother to appear, and BUST me, again.

Sigh. I'm still waiting for it to become legal. Maybe as soon as next year. In_The_Wind Mar 2020 #1

The first time I visited my sister in Colorado after they legalized I stopped at a dispensary on the way from the Airport.
When I walked in there was a security guard at the door - it was a large, fully uniformed Colorado state trooper! I almost freaked out, started to stammer that I had accidentally walked into the wrong place, please don't arrest me.......and he said "Recreational or medicinal?"
(he was asking because medical permit holders don't stand in line and go to a separate area) I managed to croak out, "Recreational," and he indicated which line to get in.
It was hard to process as I walked out with something that I have been using off and on since the late 70s that, instead of arresting me if I dropped it on the ground in front of him, he would have said, "Excuse me sir, you dropped your weed."

In Michigan...

I’ve been growing for about 10 years. Learned from a caregiver I know. Always been very stealthy.
After legalization...stress level went down but still continued the stealthy ways. Loose lips before meant confiscation and jail now we gladly stand around and talk shop without concern.
Plus the selection of seeds has increased dramatically.

And I can talk about this latest harvest...

One of the buds getting ready to be done...

I have a '3 season' room that could easily be utilized as a grow room and have given some thought to going that route. I'd like to try making my own tincture and RSO.

Probably around 1975. Jim had several beautiful plants on the walkway in back of the house. He proceeds to tell his mother, “Don’t touch them, they’re delicate, rare Himalayan Ferns.”

Fast forward about six months. Our uncle, the major comes back from a tour in Viet Nam. He spots rhe prized vegetation.

Major: “What’cha got growing there, Mae?”

“oh, that’s Jimmy’s Himalayan Fern. Don’t touch them, they’re delicate.”

Major: slowly, “Himalayan fern, eh?”
