Why The Media Missed Bernie Sanders

-snip-
As his polling numbers and donations continue to rise, the media finally seems to be taking Bernie Sanders seriously. Why did it take so long? CNN's Dylan Byers talks with Boba bout what made the pundits miss the insurgent candidacy of Bernie Sanders.

It clearly lays out why the media totally missed Bernie's growing voter base. Not to mention, it rather subtly explains that most political reporting is trapped in an echo chamber, and that no reporter who wants to keep his day job dare go against the common wisdom of that chamber.

from outside the media, too. In the face of all the crowds, the number of donations and other data bits.

I think that it's disingenuous that the media is incompetent in missing Sanders. They had some agency in it as well - and they wanted to see him fail. It was only the independent media who wanted Sanders to succeed. Their incompetence was underestimating the power of social media.
