Hello and Goodbye
I recently joined DU hoping to have good discussions with other Democrats about the primaries. I hadn't posted many messages because I've been busy but was a little down about the caucus results in Nevada and decided to venture into the discussions.
I can't believe how mean and nasty people have been to me today. I've been cursed at, called a liar and worse, all because I said that both campaigns should try to get along better because we need to make sure that Democrats win in November and that we shouldn't be beating each other up. Someone even accused me of being a phony and not being a real Sanders supporter which is funny since I just got back home from Iowa where I worked my tail off for Bernie and on Monday am heading to Columbia to do canvassing and volunteer organizing for his GOTV effort there. I'm new to politics so I have a lot to learn but really believe in my candidate and in the process. It's been challenging and fun and really inspiring because I know I'm making a difference.
