Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWhy Bernie Sanders Won Super Tuesday (article by Cenk Uyger in HuffPost)
It turns out that Hillary Clinton won all of the states she was supposed to win -- and a narrow victory in Massachusetts (remember she won Mass. by 15 points against Obama and still lost the primary in 2008). But Bernie Sanders had resounding wins in CO & MN. Those two states are much more indicative of the states that are coming in the rest of the primary schedule.(emphasis added)
All of these Southern states were Hillary Clinton's best states (by the way, also irrelevant places to have strength in for the general election). She's used up most of her ammo and doesn't even know what kind of trouble she's in. Right before the voting, she pivoted toward the right again in anticipation of the general election. Big mistake. She can't help herself; she lives and breaths arrogance.
Tonight could have been the knock out punch if Clinton had won CO & MN. But she didn't! She lost them big. Now, he has a $40 million war chest and favorable map in front of him. Feel the Bern!
Time is on Bernie's side. The more he runs, the more people find out about him. Everyone already knows Clinton. She's gaining no new voters. Every day he gains ground. So, now he lives to fight many other days. She is in a race against time and she didn't close the door tonight. Tick, tock. Tick, tock!

(5 posts)I'm new to Democratic Underground and I love it. Greetings from Boulder. I am trying and I want to tell myself that if and only if Bernie doesn't win the primaries I will vote for Hilary in the general but the lies Hilary is telling and the now what I am hearing about Bill basically campaigning in Massachusetts for Hilary during voting which by the way is illegal. The clintons are doing everything they can to make sure us Bernies supporters don't vote for Hilary in the fall (if and only if she wins the primary). We expect this from Trump, Cruz and any other of those fascists running on that side but us Democrats are supposed to be better.

(9,033 posts)I caucused back in '08; not for Hillary--she wasn't popular then either. (embarrassed to say I went for Edwards; Obama was my second choice)

(170 posts)I'm from california originally so this "caucus" thing was always a quaint, old fashioned idea to me.
Why not just primary like any normal, modern state.
I was wrong.
When I'm able I think I'll write an OP about my first ever caucus and what an amazing experience it truly is. how connected to the system I felt... I also seemed to have been wrangled into being a delegate now too.

It's not one thing. They've been going downhill for months.
And he recently predicted Bernie would win the nomination. He went from smart and on top of things to letting his desires cloud his vision.
He's just a fool now.

You must not have been watching the same coverage I did last night. He was very realistic about the numbers. He admitted his biases because he is a progressive that supports Sanders. He is a lot more political savvy apparently then some around here.

Should she steal the nomination (i.e. Bubba breaking the law in Mass), say hello to the new president, Donald Drumpf...

If the stakes weren't so high it would be hilarious.

(3,623 posts)...is that their delegates count in the primary process. Regardless of how the general election goes, Bernie is getting beat by 30, 40, 50 points in Southern states and that is going to make it very, very difficult for him to make a strong enough comeback to win the nomination.
