It seems that now Thom Hartmann is backing off from supporting Bernie

Thom Hartmann is now hanging up on callers that attack Hillary or that "promote the circular firing squad." Thom says that his show is not just for Bernie supporters but for Hillary supporters as well.

If I correctly understand Thoms intent - it is to remain neutral because he sees the bigger picture (no pun) being that We Must come together in support of the Dem Nominee, no matter who wins after the last of the primary's. He (if memory serves) Has long ago made clear his preference for Bernie and has simultaneously stated as many times that if HRC prevails-he will Enthusiastically support her over allowing any GOP to win.

I listen often and this is my observation.

The whole political picture in this country is already changed. All the "old rules of thumb" can be tossed.

"We" in general are more awake, more informed and "we've" largely drawn our lines in the sand. Bernie supporters are determined, pissed, Young and motivated.
However-Which successor to the WH would "we" have The Best chance in Moving on our issues? HRC or Drumpf?

I loathe the idea of holding my damned nose again and I cannot honestly tell you What I'm going to do. Every fiber of my being says to write Sanders name in...and then I remember these kids need the best chance we can deliver.
I interpret Thom's words making these very points.

More curious to me: Why are Dem numbers down in the polls and who isn't showing up? Old? Young? Women? Men? First time voters? GenX? Are turnout numbers really down? Or are shenanigans rigging the numbers?

Another point-no matter Who wins the WH-If it's a Democrat...and IF we don't get out and VOTE for a New congress - Neither of them will get a dammed thing done.
And "we" already know "we" cannot "move" a GOP controlled congress or POTUS at all.

the others choice of candidate because they feel that, regardless of who is the candidate chosen to run in the general election, everyone will have to get in line to beat Trump. I don't think he or the other hosts are right. The temperature I'm getting is that people are going to vote for whom they want and I strongly believe that many voters, who will vote for Bernie or Martin O'Malley had he remained in the race, will not vote for Hillary Clinton. However, I respect his and their decision not to fan the flames.

Norman Goldman claims that he's closer to Bernie on the issues but continually makes the case to his supporters that Bernie has no chance of winning and Hillary will easily be able to win, and has in the past admired Hillary and the way she plays the game, even though he claims to be disinterested in being involved in the actual political party because of corruption. Never mind that he himself gives hints at his own inflated ego from time to time, and has been wrong on more than a few predictions.

All we want is a Bernie news source because there is a black out in the msm.
(for example did you know that Bernie just received a bunch of endorsements from MI for his work in Flint? - No? of course not!)

I told him that he was all that we have.
If a Bernie supporter calls into the Stephanie Miller show, she hangs up on them. Bernie really does not get any coverage. I think that is why I spend way way way too much time on DU. It's become my Bernie news source. (Plus twitter)

He is the one that introduced us to Bernie. All we want from him is to provide us with Bernie news.
He doesn't even need to mention Hillary - it doesn't need to be about her at all.

We just need one source where we can get Bernie news.
Not everyone has the time to sit on the computer and read DU - so where else can people find out about Bernie?

I urge everyone that is a listener to reach out to him.
He is missing the point on why we need him.

Just my 2 cents.

pull out wins in Michigan and Illinois, that would be huge and force all these pundits to get off their "unelectable" rant. We here are really an insular bubble - I'd venture to say there are millions who still have not heard Bernie's message. I think this has been the most stressful election cycle I've ever lived through, partly because of the mendacious, egregious Republican candidates who get so much air time. But also because of the lack of support for Bernie from elected Democrats. Ya hear me, Al Franken??? Hell, my own HR rep. Xavier Becerra came out for Hillary last August!

But...we must keep going with donations, phone banking, showing up for Bernie events, leafleting, knocking on doors, GOTV, handing out buttons and bumper stickers, etc. Visibility and momentum. That will result in a win for Bernie, and we already know, Everybody loves a winner!
