Bernie Sanders

This is a 2 part rant.
Why is it important?
**When Chris Hayes makes light of the reasons why Ben Jealous supports Bernie instead of Hillary the moment after Ben is no longer on camera instead of saying it to Ben's face - you can send Chris Hayes a tweet & tell him you saw that & what you think of it.
**When msnbc has 3 Hillary supporters on to discuss the debate in Flint, MI and not one Bernie supporter - you can send them a tweet saying you saw that & what you thought of it.
**Not only do you send the tweet to @msnbc, you tag entire pro-Bernie groups so people will see the tweet, know that msnbc has 3 Hillary supporters on and not one Bernie supporter on and Bam! You just woke up a bunch of people to this fact & they are now going to start paying closer attention to the ratio of Bernie supporters to Hillary supporters appearing on Msnbc. And in turn, they will tweet about it the next time it happens, and so on and on.
**It's a wealth of information. A lot of what many of us post here are things we learn on twitter to make sure everyone here knows this too. This could be a good time in the primary season to spend more time there than here & to get away from all the threads about Bernie being racist, sexist, and a mothereffer (still can't get over that!).
**Instead of of spending time here arguing with her supporters (which I admit is kinda fun) you will be constantly fed new info coming from Bernie's campaign & it's surrogates. Artful smears, like the auto bailout doozy are debunked as fast as it is said. Not only do you learn the truth, you help spread the truth by re-tweeting.
** You also learn ways to help Bernie by sending messages, making phone calls, etc
**People are tweeting from the ground in these primary states. You get a first hand look at what is going on in the ground.
**As Bernie always says - change starts from the bottom up. He's right & Social Media is how you get the message out.
These are just some of the reasons.
At some point it might be a good idea to make a list off-site with all of our twitter names so we can follow each other. I say off-site to avoid the trolls & the people we don't want following us.

Part 2.
Today Hillary is on the stump in Michigan saying the sooner you make her the nominee the sooner she can go after the GOP.
Sorry Hillary, you're just going to have to wait.
In turn, Donors to Bernie are speaking out telling him to never surrender.
Are you Berners ready? #NeverSurrenderBernie I'm going to go support the donors that wrote the article and make this go viral. Anyone care to join me? I'm berning for this fight

Got a Twitter primer?

(39,451 posts)You use @ when you want to send a message to someone - example @msnbc
You use # when you want to tag someone or a group - example #Women4Bernie
If you want to send a tweet to someone like Chris Hayes you just put Chris Hayes in the search on top and his twitter name will show up.
To start - search Bernie Sanders in the search engine on top and a bunch of pro-Bernie twitter groups will pop up.
Start following a few & your list will grow. The more you tweet, retweet, the more people will find you and the more people will follow you.

(14,733 posts)I have people I follow and who follow me back that disagree strongly with me on Bernie, so, so as not to damage those friendships, I avoid tweeting about Bernie. (Some of them also dislike Hillary, though, so I do occasionally tweet about her problems.)

How and where do I sign on?
Can I keep my anonymity? (Very important.)
Do we get good tweet ideas from the Bernie campaign? If so, how? Or do we wing it?
Any other tips? How to be effective, what to watch out for?
Also: thank you, jillan, for all you do.

(39,451 posts)Once you're on use the search on top to search for Bernie Sanders, you should see several groups for Bernie.
Click on each group - then on the upper right side you'll see a rectangle that says follow, click on that.
Do it for as many groups as you want.
Read for awhile, you'll get the hang of it.
(You're welcome - it's all about Bernie )

I don't follow anyone but look at a huge list (bookmarked) of accounts...I like to give them a Favorite click and post replies...I'm so lame that I don't even have an Avatar (just using the Egg) nor Banner.
Oh and you can change a lot of settings that pretty much makes you hidden except for your replies.
Do it!
p.s...if you are still on the fence, just start reading people's pages...you can read anyone but not post until you join.
