Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumA report from the Missouri Primary.
I voted first thing this morning and when I came out there was a young man doing surveys for a research company. I answered all of the questions on the form. I went back a few minutes ago and asked him how it was going. He said that there had been strong turnout and that Cruz was winning the r. votes. He went on to say that Bernie was kicking ass on the Democratic side.
I had four people tell me (unsolicited) how they voted. A girl in the convenience store who saw my I have voted sticker. Two Hispanic coworkers and a friend ( a Doctor and conservative libertarian )
All of them either had voted or planned to vote for Bernie.
This is in a very, very, conservative part of the state and rural.
Go Bernie, Missouri is going to go our way big time.

(332 posts)Mine also a smaller county mostly rural south of KC. No one doing exit polls, but I did notice large turnout.........parking lot full (large lot at community center) and a pretty long line. Mostly older people so that may not have been good. Keeping fingers crossed for Missouri!

(23,156 posts)from March 11, shows them in a virtual tie (Clinton getting 48.8% of the vote, Sanders 48.0%) and gives Hillary a 54% chance of winning. Bet the numbers are vastly different in the end.

that makes it lean more left than the current narrative about Illinois or Ohio? Very curious to understand these differences.

(9,865 posts)Is that Machine Politics ignored MO, more or less, and this has allowed its people to follow their own instincts. At least comparatively.

(15,240 posts)I remember Jerry Litton in the 1970's who sounded much like Sanders today. He was very popular and had a large following on a series of shows with a town hall format. He won his Senate primary but died in a plane crash the night he won. The crankshaft of one of the engines broke there were allegations and even a trial nothing came of it. Since then we are over run with crazy republicans and DINO's.
Litton haunts many here with what might have been.

(5,668 posts)knows where Donald sits and if it's where Hiter was. Hiter was just slight right of center but solidly Authoritarian. the opposite of Libertarian. provided one actually trusts what he says. that and the writing is on the wall. The are scared shitless of either Clinton or Trump so they are really driving for Bernie. Bernie could pick off more Republicans than Hillary mostly over trust it should be interesting, but winning Michigan made my year

(4,280 posts)My state, NC, went for Hillary and Trump. Yeah, that says a lot for NC. Damn! But, we're not giving up, not for a minute.
Go Bernie Go!! Plus, we knew many Southern states would go for Hillary. But, in a match up between H and Trump, she loses. Sigh!
