Related: About this forumHere's a YouTube of Jane Sanders' town hall in Anchorage tonight
if anyone is interested. Push it to about the 27-minute mark because there's a lot of dead space at the beginning.

(91 posts)Doubt we will ever hear about "super predators" from her most likely she would use her position to help those who need it most.

(46,436 posts)real down-to-earth, approachable, honest, one of us. i really like her a lot, and I'm so pleased that she took the time to come up here and talk with us. She's going out to Dillingham in western AK tomorrow. It's so rare for candidates or their wives to come up here because we don't have a lot of delegates and only three electoral votes. Usually we don't even get presidential ads on our TV, but I've seen several of Bernie's, different ones, none for Hill. I really feel like he's going to kick ass here.

(1,268 posts)Alaska finally gets to play an important role in the nomination process--opposed to having a winner in first week of March. Thats what my memory is telling me unless I'm missing an election cycle of the past.

(46,436 posts)The last time I caucused was in 2008, and I believe we were later that year. I know it was after everyone else had dropped out except Hillary and Obama (who coincidentally were my two last choices - yes, I was for Edwards since my man Mike Gravel was such a long shot). By that time everyone was so in the bag for Barack that I voted for Hillary just because I felt sorry for her. My husband voted for Obama, so we cancelled each other out. LOL.
With all that's gone on since, I would never support her now, even symbolically. If she ends up being the candidate, she will lose big here, so I haven't quite decided whether I will hold my nose and vote for her, write Bernie in or just leave that one blank. It won't make a difference. I think Bernie might do well here in the general, especially given how messed up the Republicans are this year.

(349 posts)She will be - without a doubt - the most impactful First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt.
Can Bernie and Jane be any more real? What remarkable human beings.
It is nothing short of astounding to have a candidate not primarily beholden to corporate interests, but instead primarily beholden to the actual human beings in this country.
