My first negative reaction to my bumper sticker today.

I pulled into recycling center a truck was behind me.
I was taking out 2.5 gal. water bottles to recycle.
This truck had turned around came back through and the driver
yelled out his window "F***you, you communist b*tch!"
The few people around looked confused. The guy who works
at the center yelled at the guy and ran after him. He didn't understand
what just happened. I told him I think it was due to my Bernie sticker.
He said "what's a Bernie sticker?"
I said "Bernie Sanders bumper sticker." He still couldn't believe it. I almost
said well he's probably a Trump supporter but I looked around and some of those
people looked like Trump supporters. So I didn't say much else.

I put my Bernie bumper sticker on my car last fall. So it took a while. I'm not surprised
because I live in a place where there a lot of low information voters, namely
the So. Cal. mountain area.

But I was pleasantly surprised when not only did I not have any negative
reactions but I received a lot of thumbs up and "yeah Bernies." The IE
what are you going to do? I love the trees, bears, deer, raccoons, skunks etc.
up here. The beach area is definitely better but then there's other issues like
expensive, traffic etc.

While the people may be rabid at times they are probably not
as rabid as where you live. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy
was originally from elsewhere. We still get a lot of transplants
here.

My daughter's boyfriend had his van egged because of a Bernie sticker. I'm expecting someone to scratch mine off. Lots of angry people out there!

Btw - I saw my first Hillary sticker here! Lots of Bernie and a few Trumps but only 1 Hillary. I'm in the SF Bay Area.

I got a positive response from an Auburn grad lady (had Auburn license plate)... (she had to be in her 40's or 50's)

She was behind me and honked a few quick bursts as she passed me as I was left turning and stuck out a big thumbs up! I was surprised to say the least

I'm tempted to move there. Except that I know you guys don't need anymore California transplants.

Lots of smart people up there. It must be all the oxygen from the trees and the ocean.

But can't really beat the weather here. Plus I still have a 95 yr. old Dad
who I visit once a month at the very least. He's about 4-6 hrs. away depending
on traffic. So can't really move further away.

I feel sorry for people who have to live with that daily. Hopefully it's a single person who doesn't have to go to work everyday and lives in a cabin in the woods (poor critters) and was just in town to get supplies.

But I'm in Los Angeles. Currently have one adhesive and 3 magnetic on the car. In 2008, it was a month or so before the general and had my Obama stuff stolen in employee parking...figured it was some of the six-figure income types that didn't want him in office.

At least now if they get taken, I have LOTS more.

Also have up one yard sign (soon to be joined by some more) and a window sign...at least I'm in a "protected" neighborhood however it is going to piss off the neighbor across the street with the Hill sign. Ha!
