Bernie Sanders

Some have said they will be writing in Bernie's name if he is not the nominee. I am not sure how that is surprising at all. They think that people should blindly follow a person who does not represent a majority of Americans let alone the Democratic Party.
I have been a loyal DEMOCRAT for all of my life and it has become apparent, my party is not the party I believed it was. It is a corporate lobbying firm and that is all.
I am one of those who is tired of the bullshit we are suppose to believe b/c someone with a D next to their name says so. No more DINOs. Sorry Hillary, that means you too.

(5,792 posts)I cannot fathom why those that support her think it's fine for someone running to represent the entire Country and the people in it is such a deceptive liar. It boggles minds.

(2,353 posts)The vitriol and disingenuous attacks and condescension from Hillary supporters is a huge turn off here. Like in the thread about Bernie having more contributions than Obama's whole 2008 campaign; mocking us about throwing our money away

(628 posts)other things from Hillary herself is enough for my husband and I, (over 40 years as dems) to no way in hell ever cast a vote for her. My 88 year old mother, another lifelong democrat, feels the same way.
I continually hear, including from Thom Hartmann, that people felt the same way with Obama and Hillary and wound up voting for Obama in the end. In the end people will come together.
Fuck NO! We will no longer vote for a candidate we so strongly feel is the wrong person to take our country in the direction it needs to go. Enough is enough! Not to mention we all feel strongly that Bill should NOT be allowed back into the White House or involved in the decision making. If you think he won't be, I have a bridge to sell you.
Sorry, something has changed. I really think this year will be different. Too many people are fed up.

(250 posts)I'm done with rewarding so called democrats with my vote who have no interest in me, my family, my friends, my neighbors, anyone other than the mega rich.
This has got to end.

I have NO friends who are Hillary supporters - none. I've never even met one locally (although I have seen a couple of cars with her stickers on them). Bernie won my neighborhood and city and barely lost the county.
That said, when I say I could never vote for Clinton, I never get chided by anyone in RL. Most people fully understand why.

(47,953 posts)There will be posts from HRC supporters saying they will write in her name. It is the nature of politics. Their hubris has precluded them from considering it so far.

(24 posts)To Democrat because my state has a closed primary. One has to make that decision sometimes.

(14,691 posts)I'm going independent (I was a Green and I joined them because the Dems went to the right). I'm done. I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left me.

(8,209 posts)A good scenario should Bernie not win the rigged nomination process.,..........If Trump runs as a 3rd party and splits the republican party at the convention, it will give Bernie an opening to also run independently. In that scenario Bernie could win it.

(3,226 posts)If we are to believe that there is no way Hillary can lose than why is she and her supporters treating half of the party with such disdain and hate? One would think that they would reach out and try and mend bridges instead of burning them.

(12,471 posts)They know that she is losing, and are trying to put up whatever bovine fecal matter they can in her favor, even if it is a lie.
I am so sick of them, it's not funny.

(696 posts)Ef over Trump, forcing him to run as Indy. Giving Bernie the chance to run as an Indy but come to think of it, all of that will be unnecessary because Bernie is gonna win this fuckin' thing! How can he not? Have you seen his turn out at the rallies!? OMG!!!!!!

(81 posts)We share the same experience. I learned the same thing about the GOP. Bernie has explained all of this to me over the last few months. Go Sanders.

(872 posts)Absolutely. I don't know why that is so apparent to me now after years of doing that:
Hillary is completely unacceptable - lying, incompetent, I "viscerally dislike her" is the way the Clinton Times describes some Bernie supporters attitudes. The thought of eight years of her and Bill smirking in the news is repellent.
Every time we vote for the lesser of two evils, the party moves more to the right.
We have a wonderful human being in our candidate Bernie. If he doesn't get the nomination, I am writing him in. Fortunately in my state write-ins count.
